Mortgage Clearing Corporation
Tulsa Mortgage Management Company Gets a Complete New Style Guide and Website Redesign
โAfter we created a new style guide for their 3rd party mortgage management platform, the client realized they needed a new website to elevate their image. The Matcha team was more than ready to help.โ

A Website Redesign and Overhaul for the Mortgage Clearing Corporation
The original website for the Mortgage Clearing Corporation was simple and relied on a legacy design from years ago. Behind the scenes, Matcha Design had already been managing the site and providing technical development services. We built and maintained multiple backend applications to support their ability to track payments and generate tax forms such as 1098.
After working with them for several years, the client realized that it was time to take things to another level. They upgraded their mortgage tools to a platform that was more thorough and cost-effective and then reached out to Matcha for help with branding. We recommended that they not only brand the new tool but also take the opportunity to rebrand their website. The team at Mortgage Clearing Corporation agreed, and the project was greenlighted.
A large part of the project involved refurbishing the design and development of the website so that it was more responsive and user-friendly. The client needed something fast, to the point, and with absolutely zero fluff. It was also crucial to go through the copywriting on the site to restructure it and turn it into engaging, creative material that customers could connect with.
The end result is a beautiful new website that maintains the clientโs logo and identity while ensuring that it appeals to audiences and brings in customers. The Mortgage Clearing Corporation was not only happy with the design and function of the end product but also excited to see how it was so successful so quickly.
โThe website redesign/update has been a success. Weโve had over 3,000 of our customers registered in the new portal so far.โ – Vice President, Mortgage Clearing Corporation.โ
Challenge
This project started out with the Mortgage Clearing Corporation asking us to design a fresh style guide for their new customer portal. We needed to make sure the two aspectsโtheir site and the portalโ were better integrated for a smoother customer experience and improved efficiency.
In addition to this, it was important to the client that the new designs elevate their brand and make it more relevant to their user base. The clientโs original website was slow, unresponsive, and dull. This meant that our biggest challenges were to improve the design to make it more mobile-friendly, rework the development to improve loading times, and completely rewrite the copy to turn it into something that was both engaging and exciting.
Solution
The Matcha Design team approached this project by focusing on the overall picture and goals and then focusing on each piece to make it perfect.
We developed a new site that was more modern and responsive and would load faster. Part of this was about improving the coding of the site and ensuring that buttons and links functioned smoothly and correctly.
The original site had dull, repetitive copywriting and plain colors. In general, mortgages are not traditionally thought of as exciting, but so much of that is due to dry copywriting. We poured our creative energies into this and figured out a way to be innovative as we rewrote the copy to make it engaging and modern.
Additionally, one of the biggest changes we were able to make was updating the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX). The original site had a drab color palette. We changed all this to use a modern collection of colors, like various shades of blue with dashes of orange. Using high-quality photos was another aspect that we added, and now the homepage of the website gives the viewer a birds-eye view of a neighborhood to inspire them on their journey to home ownership.
As for the logo, we maintained the original font and overall style while placing it in a new, modern, sleek design.
All told, this project refreshed the design and functionality of the Mortgage Clearing Corporationโs website, allowing them to focus on helping their customers navigate one of lifeโs biggest moments: purchasing a new home. Weโre grateful to have had the opportunity to work on this project, and weโll continue to manage and support this new and improved website.
